Where The Hell Have I Been

Hi. Hello. It’s me. Hopefully you won’t have forgotten me in my blog absence the past month or so. It feels like forever since I last sat down to type up a blog post and honestly I have missed it so much.

You probably didn’t notice that things have been quiet around here, but if you’ve been following me on social media and read my previous posts, then you may or may not be aware that I found out my blog had been cloned back in April.

As you can imagine, I felt disgusted and very upset to think my hard work had been copied for someone else gain. It wasn’t just my blog that was robbed. It was also my identity. Someone had cloned my blog to build an affiliate click farm.

As I am someone who isn’t very familiar with the whole technical and legal side of the whole internet, you can imagine I felt very out of my comfort zone on how to handle the situation. I spent several weeks getting in contact with the person who had cloned my blog, their host and register, reporting them to Google’s DMCA, as well as even contacting the police and reporting them for their crimes.

After a lot of energy, time and stress trying to take down this person’s blog with no help from the outside sources, I finally found the solution in Pipdig. Of course this did come with a cost, but for me it has been completely 100% worth it and for the cloned blog to have gone, has made me feel so much better.

My blog has migrated from Blogger over to WordPress, so that’s why I have a brand spanking beautiful new blog design and I also have my own domain now. No more blogspot.co.uk and it honestly feels amazing to feel like an actual professional blogger for once.

I am so excited to get back to posting on my blog again, as I have been completely lost without it. I cannot wait to get lots of new content up for you guys. I’ve been itching to create for weeks and it finally feels amazing to have that opportunity to do so again.

Summer is one of my favourite times to blog because I have so many ideas and inspiration since it’s my favourite season of the year. I’ll be back to posting again on the 1st of June, which is also the same month that my blog turns three, so it feels very fitting I come back to blogging regularly again in that special month.

Thank you so much to everyone who has helped me and offered their support during the time I had my blog cloned and sticking with me. You are all honestly the most amazing bunch of people and I could not be more grateful to have people on my little space of the internet looking out for me.

Thank you to Pipdig for helping me make the move over to WordPress and get the cloned blog off my back. I am so so so grateful for your help and the amazing work you have done!

Thank you so much for reading as always,

Lauren xx
