I’ve wanted to do a What’s In My Bag post for the longest time, but never known which bag to feature on my blog since I own quite a few. But when I purchased this bag a few weeks back, I knew this would be the one to make an appearance on my blog. I thought I would share with you a few things that I’ve been carrying around with me lately.
I’ve been wanting a smaller bag that I can take out and about with me for more casual occasions. Also I wanted something really affordable but was also stylish. I spotted this faux leather shoulder bag in Primark for only £7. It’s perfect. It does the exact job I want it to do. It’s not too small. Yet it’s not too big. It’s just the right size. I love the gold metal details and the suede features on the front pocket of the bag and the fringed key ring. Plus this also has three compartments in total. One main area to put all your bits and bobs into, a middle compartment to slip other things inside and a front pocket for quick easy access. It’s also so easy to style because of the simple gold/black theme it has, it means it goes with most things within my wardrobe.
Moving onto the actual items that I bring with me in my bag, let’s start with the items you can see above. I like to bring a body mist or small perfume of some sort with me when I’m out, because you never know when you’re going to need a freshen up. The one I’m loving at the moment is the Body Fantasies – Pink Grapefruit body mist. This smell’s incredible! It’s so summery and fruity. It really helps to make you feel fresher throughout the day particularly when it’s really hot. Next I like to keep a power bank/portable phone charger on me if I know I’m going to be out for a long period of time and will need to use my phone. These are super handy to have in your bag in case your phone does run out of battery and you need to charge it back up for any emergency. Plus it’s bright pink so it’s so easy to find in the bottom of your bag amongst other things. Also I like to carry around some chewing gum, just in-case I need minty breath asap and some headphones to listen to music when on those annoying bus journeys with screaming kids.
On more of the make-up side, I do sometimes like to bring a make-up bag with me, but other days I just tend to lay whatever make-up I need for that day in terms of the look I’ve gone for or how bad my skin might be that day, I just shove them into the pocket in the main area of the bag. Without fail, I will always bring a concealer with me, whether that’s the one I use for the rest of my skin or just my under eye concealer. Right now, I’ve been wearing the NYX HD Concealer in 01 Porcelain and I like to take my Real Techniques – Miracle Complexion Sponge to blend.
Other make-up I tend to take includes the Collection – Speedy Highlighter in Pearl Sheen, which I take in case I need to top up my highlighter and this is great for quick with ease application, two lip products, one that will be the one I am probably wearing that day, which in this photo was Mac’s Brave and I also like to keep one in my bag just in case I forget to put the lipstick I’m intending on wearing in my bag, this is used as a back up and right now it’s Rimmel Kate Lipstick in Shade 3. Also I like to carry around hand sanitizer with me, because I’m a germophobe (no word of lie there) and the one that’s in my bag at the moment is the Cuticure – Passion Flower, which smell’s so floral and fruity, again perfect fit for this time of the year.
Lastly is one essential that is my purse, which is quite old now from River Island, so it’s probably discontinued. But they’re a great place to go for purses, they’re great quality and fairly affordable. They do so many lovely ones, you’re always spoilt for choice, so no doubt you’ll find something. Also my sunglasses, which are a recent purchase from Topshop and I’m so in love with them. The style, the colour and the mirror effect the glasses have. They’re fab and go with so much. Of course, I also carry my phone around with me, but that’s normally glued to my hand rather than in my bag so.
What are some items you carry around with you?
