Within the past year or so, my bedroom has basically been a work in progress. Due to being on a small budget and not having much DIY skills, the changeover from having blue and floral details to blush pink with gold and grey accents has taken quite some time. I’ve been on the hunt for more accessories to finish off my room with and make it feel completely whole. One style of decor I really wanted in my room for a long time were some wall prints but could never find anything that I had envisioned. I even contemplated making my own so I could exactly what I was after. But then when the lovely people of Posterlounge got in touch, it was like one of my room wishes had been fulfilled and the best part was I could also run a giveaway for one of you to win a print of your choice!!!
Posterlounge has a crazy selection of prints to chose from. I literally spent hours on that site having a good browse of the different prints available. They give you the option of looking for prints within a particular room or for a particular theme. The Scandinavian wall arts was one of my favourite categories to check out. I could have literally gone with them all. They’re all so on trend and chic. They’re like the blogger’s dream. Definitely check them out and they offer free shipping too. After much searching, I picked out three so Instagrammable (did I really just say that?!) wall prints.
The first is this simple quote or saying should we say. I wanted something fun and quite quirky. I was debating on whether to go for something more meaningful or inspiring, but I wanted to step outside of the box and go for something that was different for me. Oh la la* was the perfect print to accomplish just this. I love how it’s simple yet throws a twist into my minimalist themed room. I decided to put it in a white frame on my bedside table beside my perfumes to add a little something extra to this space.
The second prints I went for I put on my wall in black frames, which I got the inspiration for this colour of frame from images I had seen circling around Pinterest and Instagram. I was really in love with the way white background photos looked against the black frames on a white wall. I think they just look so chic and again minimalistic. The Flamingo Love* print definitely has to be my favourite of the three I went for. Not only is it pretty damn adorable, it is such a good quality print with so much detail to it and the watercolour is just beautiful. Also it worked pretty well with other details of my room, such as my pink colour palette and I have another print on the opposite wall which is about flamingos. So for me this one was an overall win win.
This print also went easily together with the final print I picked from Posterlounge. I’ve been a huge fan of the palm leaf print since last summer when it first became a trend. I knew that the Leaf* wall print would not only be something I was a fan of, but it also went well with the Flamingo Love* print and the wall print I had on the opposite side of the room. Together with the Flamingo print(s), the Leaf*has created a fresh and fun vibe to my room that it was really needing. It also goes well with other accessories I have within my room such as a pineapple candle and tray.
