My Current Autumn Style Favourites

My Current Autumn Style Favourites

I’ve always enjoyed shopping for spring and summer fashion, but for some reason this year I have been so obsessed with all the autumn fashion. It might be due to the fact that I actually have the money to invest in pieces this year but also because there are just so many gorgeous pieces around at the moment.

Today I wanted to share some of my current autumn style favourites with you. These are the pieces I’ve got loads of wear out of already so far this autumn.

My Current Autumn Style Favourites

The corduroy skirt

I’ve been loving skirts this autumn. I just find them an easy way to dress up an outfit but also I find they work so well for everyday wear. This corduroy skirt has become one of my favourites in my autumn wardrobe.

Not only is the colour so gorgeous and perfect for this time of the year but it’s also such a comfortable skirt. It fits so lovely around my waist. Sometimes skirts can feel really lose around my waist but tight on my hips, but this one sits perfectly. I also love the belt detail. It’s such a nice feature.

The cosy knit

Would it really be autumn without a cosy knit?

They’re the ultimate colder season and autumn style must-have. I love how easy they are to wear with either jeans or a skirt. Plus they’re so warm and cosy which means they’re perfect for the more chillier days we have been having more recently.

The checked blazer

I am obsessed with blazers!

They’re just such a timeless piece. There are so many gorgeous ones around at the moment. I have a checked print one that I got from Sainsburys back in August. You can see it feature in this blog post.

I have my eye on this camel coloured corduroy blazer from H&M and a classic checked print blazer.

Blazers are so easy to dress up or down so whether you’re heading out for some lunch and a shopping spree or going to work, it’s perfect for any kind of occasion. Plus they make you feel like the ultimate girl boss!

The chunky boot

No autumnal themed post can be without a pair of boots.

I’ve been so into chunky boots this year around and was desperate to get a pair in my autumn wardrobe. I’ve always had quite classic boots like Chelsea boots or suede boots with a heel, which are quite smart looking but I feel like a chunky biker boot is so perfect for everyday wear.

You can wear them with jeans and a nice t-shirt, skirts and jumpers or even with a dress. They’re just so easy to wear and the ones I have from Primark are the comfiest things!

The corduroy jacket

This is such a popular texture this autumn season and I’ve already mentioned one item of this texture. But this time around it’s a corduroy jacket. I initially bought this jacket to wear it in multiple ways. I was going to wear it as a shirt and a dress as well as a jacket because it’s very oversized.

But since buying it and styling it with different pieces, it doesn’t work as a dress because it has slits down the side, so it exposes your arse haha! And then as a shirt on me, it just looked way too oversized and stupid, so I’ve stuck with using it as a throw on a jacket.

It’s such a nice thing to throw on when quickly popping out to the shops or when I’m heading to Matt’s in the car. It’s such a nice colour as well.

The black bag

You can’t beat a classic black bag no matter what the season. I spotted this faux croc skin black bag with tortoise handles in F&F at Tesco and I couldn’t leave without getting it. It’s such a good size bag. It’s not too big but it’s not tiny either so I can bring all these essentials with room for extras.

I needed a new black bag in my collection because I either have a huge tote one that I don’t use as much anymore or small black ones. So this is a good inbetween size that I’ve found useful for everyday wear.

What’s your favourite autumn style piece?
