Can you believe we’re nearly at the end of the year already? Last year I did a post on my life and blogging goals for 2016. In terms of my general personal life, I’ve had quite a rubbish year, but that’s a story for another time. On the other hand, the blogging goals I made for myself for 2016 could not have gone any better. I pretty much think I smashed every single one and it feels so amazing to be able to say that. I’ve honestly loved blogging this year and I’m so proud of myself for sticking at it, as well as achieving things I could not even dream were possible. So a massive thank you to anyone who has discovered my blog this year, praised my post(s) or followed me. It means the world to me. I hope you’re excited to see more from me in 2017!
Here are my 2017 goals for itslaurenvictoria –
Platform goals – My goal for 2016 was to hit 100 followers on Bloglovin and I managed to reach 420+ which even to this day I am shocked I even reached 100, let alone 400!!! Thank you so much. So 2017’s goal is to double that. I want to aim for 800. On other social media platforms, Instagram is one of my main focuses at the moment. It’s always one I’ll probably struggle at, but if I can get to 750 then I’ll be very happy. Twitter is one I’d love to grow more on too. It’s my favourite platform. I love chatting with everyone, so if I could interact with more of you that would be fabulous. I recently hit 100 on Pinterest, which is another social media page I’m absolutely loving, so I’d also love to continue reaching out to more on there.
Change up my theme – I did manage to complete this one back in the first couple of months of 2016. But I’d still like to purchase one, preferably from Pipdig as they have some wonderful professional looking designs. Once I’m earning, that’s where I’m going to be heading to. But right now, I love the colour scheme of my blog. I think that will be something that will be staying for a while. One thing I am planning to work on within the first few months of 2017 is updating my header. I want to change that up for the next year for sure.
Continue to improve my photography – I’ve learnt a lot about photography in 2016 and it’s definitely something I’m going to continue to learn more and more about. I think my photography has improved over the year. I’ve tried to style my photos better, work with good lighting and learn a few tips and tricks for shooting with my camera. 2017 is going to be the year I really up my game in terms of experimenting with different angles, layouts, props and backgrounds, as well as working with different camera settings.
Original content – I love reading blogs that publish new and original content. We all want to discover something we’ve never come across before and that’s what I hope my blog will be able to provide. I’ve already tried to come up with my own original whilst sticking to some golden oldies, but I love thinking of new exciting ideas and being able to share them with you all. I hope you’ll like them too!
Be more active on social media – Sometimes being active on Social Media can be quite hard, especially when your life is quite quiet like mine. I definitely want to be more consistent with updating my pages, especially sending out tweets about my day or starting conversations on Twitter and posting at least once on Instagram. I’d also love to host another Twitter chat. I did one back at the end of November and it was so much fun!
Work with more brands – 2016 was the year I managed to work with some great brands. I’d love to do that again in 2017. It’s so lovely building relationships with people and being able to share some amazing products and services with you all. I’ve already got a couple lined up, so stay tuned for those!
Just another massive thank you to everyone who has read, commented or shared any of my posts this year or followed my blog. It means so much to me. I really appreciate every single one of you. Thanks so much. I wish you all the best for 2017.
