Testing new skincare is something I’ve always enjoyed doing. Dr Botanicals is the latest brand that I have introduced into my skincare routine. I’ve been testing some products from the range for the past few weeks and I thought I would put a post together on my thoughts.

And let me tell you there are definitely some good ones here!

Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil

Now with this product, I was pleasantly surprised. The Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil is not your typical oil. It has a very light and has a far from oily consistency to it. But despite the lack of oil textured properties, the oil itself is such a lovely one.

Because of its light texture, it sinks into the skin with ease and the product absorbs itself fast. Upon my first couple of uses, I didn’t really notice much difference in my skin, but after a few days, I love the way this product makes my skin look. It instantly looks brighter and more radiant which I love.

Paired with the Kale Superfood Moisturiser, these two together are the perfect way to start the day with fresher and more awake looking skin. It also has a really lovely smell to it. It smells really fresh and floral like.

I’m definitely going to be reaching for this one more often now the warmer months are approaching as it’s not too heavy and gives the skin a brighter look!

Pomegranate Superfood Regenerating Sleeping Mask

On the topic of good smelling products, this Pomegranate Superfood Regenerating Sleeping Mask smells soo good. I’m completely in love with the scent of this product. It’s so fruity and fresh. It’s gorgeous!

I love using a sleeping mask before bed because they’re just so convenient and work their magic on your skin overnight. This one soaked into my skin really quickly and by morning I woke up to a fresher, smoother and more awake looking appearance.

I also love how travel-friendly this sleeping mask is so when I’m sleeping at my boyfriends or staying overnight anywhere I know I can bring this little tube with me with no problems.

This is actually part of a set of three also known as the 3 piece superfood collection and is one of Dr Botanicals gift sets.

Coffee Superfood Renewing Facial Exfoliator

One of the other products in this Dr Botanicals set is the Coffee Superfood Renewing Facial Exfoliator. I’m definitely someone who needs to use an exfoliator more often. This one as you can probably already gather smells just like coffee. I don’t usually like the smell of coffee, but surprisingly I can actually stand this, so don’t let the fact it’s coffee related put you off.

I hate exfoliators that are harsh on the skin but this one is far from it. It is so gentle on the skin. It really helps to deeply cleanse the skin and renew it. After using this, my skin always feels so soft and fresh.

I think it really does help to remove any dead skin cells especially around my chin where I find the most dirt build up and where I experience the most breakouts.

Kale Superfood Nourishing Day Moisturiser

The other product included in the Superfood set is the Kale Superfood Nourishing Day Moisturiser. This moisturiser like the other products in the range is also super light so it absorbs into the skin really quickly. But despite it being light it still is super nourishing and hydrating on the skin.

It’s a really good everyday moisturiser that prepares your skin for the day ahead with ease. When wearing this under makeup, I found my makeup to go on a lot smoother and gives it an almost airbrushed look. I really like how this sits under makeup and it contributes to the overall radiant appearance.

The day moisturiser really does help to bring out your natural glow and gives your skin an extra boost.

All three of these products are so lovely and make such a fabulous set. They’re the perfect size for travelling. I really feel like these three have helped to contribute to a fresher and cleaner look to my skin!

Charcoal Superfood Mattifying Face Mask

The final product that has impressed me the most from the products I have tested is the Charcoal Superfood Mattifying Face Mask. This face mask has honestly become a firm favourite of mine.

We all know Charcoal in skincare products contains many beneficial properties so I already had high hopes for this and I know my skin really does benefit from a charcoal related product to give it the ultimate detox.

I truly believe this product has really contributed to improving my skin. I haven’t had any breakouts since using this mask once a week. I really feel like it’s put a stop to the breakouts I had been experiencing the past few months.

The mask itself is really easy to use and apply. You only have to leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes which is perfect if you want a lazy pamper session or you’re feeling tired. It dries really quickly but doesn’t feel tight like some other masks can. I hate stubborn masks that are messy to remove but this one comes off with ease.

Introducing Dr Botanicals Into My Skincare

In terms of how it makes my skin look and feel, I’ve found this mask to really help make my skin feel well cleansed and detoxified. My skin felt so smooth and soft after application. I love how this makes my skin feel and even the next day I felt like my skin was still feeling the benefits of this mask.

It always feels good having clearer and fresher feeling and looking skin after using this mask as I’ve been so used to feeling down and unhappy with my skin recently. Dr Botanicals have definitely created an amazing product here!

Overall, I’m really impressed with the products from Dr Botanicals and really glad I’ve introduced them into my skincare. I’ve definitely found a few favourites I will continue to use!

Have you ever tried anything from Dr Botanicals?
