5 Spotify Playlists For A Summer Weekend

Lately I  have been obsessed with listening to music and browsing Spotify for new playlists to listen to. I’ve found it so relaxing yet also fun having some music playing in the background whilst I’m getting on with my blog or when I’m chilling over the weekend. Today’s post is going to be 5 Spotify playlists you can listen to for a summer weekend, because hopefully wherever you are today it is gorgeous sunshine and warmth. So whack out your phone, head over to spotify and have a fab weekend!!!

The Great British Breakfast –

What’s a better way to kick start the weekend than listening to The Great British Breakfast playlist when you get up in the morning? Even if you live outside the UK, feel free to enjoy this playlist of songs when preparing a fry up for your closest ones and tucking into your breakfast outside on the patio over the weekend in the morning sun. From classic sing along songs like ‘She’s So Lovely’ by Scouting For Girls and ‘Dog Days Are Over’ by Florence and The Machine, you’re sure to have a great start to the weekend by these feel good songs and probably annoy the neighbours too with you’re singing….but who cares!!!!

Summer Hits –

Of course it’s Summer, well that’s been debatable in the U.K the past week or so, but hopefully this weekend things have decided to improve for the last month of summer. So since summer is coming to an end soon, why not listen to the latest hits of this summer?! Head outside, grab some friends, put the BBQ on, pour some drinks and have fun whilst listening to this playlist. Some of the hits you can enjoy include One Dance by Drake (c’mon, we’ve all heard it and probably tired of it now, but you’ll still find yourself singing along, right?), Can’t Stop The Feeling by my fave JT and love him or hate him, Justin Biebers new track Cold Water.

Summer Acoustics –

If you fancy something a little more chilled and casual, then listening to a summer acoustic is the perfect thing to do. I’ve been listening to this playlist a lot lately, I find it so relaxing when I’m working on my blog and pushes me to sail through tasks I need to get done. Not only does it have some of the acoustic versions of the latest music around right now, but it also has some golden oldies like ‘No Air’ by Jordan Sparks and ‘Valerie’ by Amy Winehouse. So whether you’re catching up with some work over the weekend, having a picnic in the park with friends or watching the sun go down later on in the day, a great way to do all of these things is with a relaxed playlist like the Summer Acoustics!

#SundayFunday –

Most of us will be at home on a sunday, probably having a lazy sunday, unless you work in retail or any other industry that still has to work on a sunday, then I do feel for you. But even if you do, you can still have fun whilst listening to this playlist anytime on a sunday. #SundayFunday has a mixture of hits from over the years, but also a range of hits from over the past few months. Guilty pleasure songs you can’t help but sing a long to, even though they’re seriously annoying like ‘I Really Like You’ by Carly Rae Jepsen and ‘Boom Clap’ by Charli XCX, as well as the best throw back songs like ‘Rich Girl’ by Gwen Stefani and ‘Tik Tok’ by Kesha!

Summer Throwbacks –

Speaking of throw backs, there is an actual Summer Throwbacks playlist! So if you love having a sing along to all the cheesey throwback songs from the past decade or two, then this playlist is perfect for you. These are all fabulous summer classics that you’ll love listening to whatever you’re up to! Get your friends together and reminisce about the songs from your childhood. There’s a mixture of genres on there from rock group The All-American Rejects, the one everyone know’s by them also known as ‘Dirty Little Secret’, American Rapper Snoop Dog ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ and R&B singer R.Kelly’s famous hit ‘Ignition (Remix)’ a great summer hit!

What do you enjoy listening to on Spotify?
